The English Trimester Program is designed for those students who are proficient in the English Language and prefer to take all their classes in that language.  Our academic year is comprised of three trimesters and two summer sessions enabling students to advance their education.

Admission Requirements for Undergraduate Program

New students must meet the following requirements:

  1. A High School grade point average of two points (2.00) or higher.
  2. Satisfactory scores on the College Entrance Examination Board (CEEB) or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).

Applicant should:

  1. Submit the application from to the Office of Admission of Metro Campus along with:
    1. Original Immunization Certificate issued by the Department of Health (for students under 21 years old)
  2. Send an official High School transcript and entrance examination results (CEEB) or (SAT) to the Office of Admissions of Metro Campus, PO Box 191293, San Juan PR 00919-1293.

Transfer students must meet the following requirements:

  1. Have at least twelve transferable semester credits with a minimum grade of C.
  2. Must meet the academic progress policy of the institution.

Applicant should:

  1. Submit the application from to the Office of Admission of Metro Campus along with:
    1. Original Immunization Certificate issued by the Department of Health (for students under 21 years old)
    2. Catalogue of previous institution
  2. Send an official High School transcript and entrance examination results (CEEB) or (SAT) to the Office of Admissions of Metro Campus, PO Box 191293, San Juan PR 00919-1293.
  3. Send a letter of recommendation (IAUPR will provide the form) from the previous institution's Dean of Students Affairs, the office of admissions.

Admission Requirements for Graduate Program

All students must meet the following requirements:

  1. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  2. A grade point average of 2.50 or higher in the last 60 undergraduate credit hours of academic work.
  3. Approval of the following undergraduate courses:
    1. Principle of Economics 6 crs
    2. Introduction to Accounting 8 crs
    3. Statistics 6 crs
  4. A satisfactory score on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), "Exámen de Admisión a Estudios de Postgrado" (EXADEP), or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).

Applicant should:

  1. Submit the application from to the Office of Admission of Metro Campus along with:
    1. A non-refundable admission fee of $31.00 payable to Inter American University of Puerto Rico. Money Order are accepted.
    2. Two letters of recommendation (IAUPR will provide the form)
  2. Send an official transcript of the college recor and the GRE, EXADEP or GMAT test results to the Office of Admissions of Metro Campus, PO Box 191293, San Juan PR 00919-1293.
